All of us are constantly being reminded of Global Warming, Climate Change, Carbon Trading etc, so we have decided to do our little bit to help.
Last year we began work on our woodland walk at the end of the garden, 120 trees are being planted here during January. One dozen bird boxes have been made and will be placed in some of the mature trees along with a large bat box. We hope our visitors will enjoy walking through this new area.
During November we had a visit from a local countryside group, they identified that dormice live in the wood; this is really good news, it shows how important it is to conserve these woodland areas.
Each Christmas we have sent a card to visitors from the current year, for 2007 we will be having a change, instead of a card a young native tree will be planted on the farm for each holiday taken. We hope you will like this change and be pleased with the knowledge that your holiday will result in a positive effect on the environment.
